Havasupai Falls by AndySerrano Havasupai Falls by AndySerrano
I hiked for five hours down into the Grand Canyon and Came upon onto this scene. The reward of seeing these waterfalls and pools was well worth the sore feet, sunburn, and sore muscles. I had only carried a Sony digital camera to capture this.

There are cabins there, but they belong to the Havasupai Indians.  You would have to become a member of their tribe.
Thanks!

A true artist can make any low quality tool produce a fabulously gorgeous work when finished. :aww: That's definitely the case here; this shot is just incredible....so, so very stunning and now I want to go there just to see it for my self. :XD: *hehe* I've never been there so if your picture is this WOW in beauty then the real thing must be quite the treasured experience. It almost looks like the water is warm with the mist coming off the falls and the slight noise. It looks cozy. :XD: The color in this is so awesome, vibrant and truly addictive. Love-love love this!

:iconthankuplz: on Havasupai Falls. Your comment is among the best DA comments I've ever seen. You clearly have a natural talent for writing. Should you ever attempt to have a career as a writer, I suspect you would succeed. I hiked six hours to get to these waterfalls. They washed my mind of its trivial worries and clutter. The water was warm and delightful. I walked away feeling free. [link]

Awe, well you're sincerely welcome my dear. :huggle: It wasn't one of my better ones as I could barely think to write it (got the bug everyone's been getting sick with lately), but I did the best I could with what little brain power I had. :XD: And thank you... :blushes: I love to write, and as luck would have it, I am in fact writing a novel as we speak--a 12 (almost 13) year project. It's getting hit with a massive revision so as to perfect it but the 1st chapter "Steps of Affirmation" is readable if ever you were interested; there's a description in the artist's comments which tells the idea/plot of the story.:)

A 6 hour hike sounds wonderful actually. :giggle: I can definitely relate to that feeling as it was one that my husband and I had a couple years ago when we went to the Olympic National forest for our anniversary (we always seem to call it our honeymoon though :XD:) and visited Sul Duc and the hot springs. I have never in my life ever felt so......inconceivably euphoric and relaxed; blissfully happy to no end that's for sure. :faint: I so want to do it again, but I'd also love to do it by means of a trip like this. Free is barely a suggestion I think of the feeling, like it's not a good enough word. lol

When I first met my wife about 30 years ago, we hardly had any money. So, when we traveled, we camped a lot and hiked in the mountains.

Ah, those were the days. :XD: Not so much anymore. I can't believe it, but you have to make reservations now if you want to camp (most places that is). :iconfacepalmemoteplz: Waaaaaaay too many people. :faint:

Unfortunately, my wife doesn't like to camp anymore. She used to take long hikes and take dangerous climbs with me, but now doesn't like it anymore, mostly due to a physical problem. My two male friends are stay-at-home gnomes and definitely don't like to do it. I have a couple of female friends who hike and climb with me. We have no problem with camping reservations because we go high into the mountains where most people don't dare to go! Here are some of our photos:
