Wonderful how they paint their walls .... apart from that I think their homes seem so empty -
not something I could live in really ..... and the paperthin walls ... But it looks good !!
And it seems so tidy that way ... not only seems ... it probably is .. lol...

If I were an architect, I'd design the wall panels as storage bins instead of using drawers or shelves.
I love the open space in Japanese homes. However, I agree with you, the paper-thin walls
are a big drawback. Thank you for your detailed comment!

Yeah good idea with the storage-bins.

Open spaces are great .... I totally agree ... I always try
to find a combination between open spaces and cosyness
myself ... maybe leaning a bit towards the cosyness :heart:

Sample idea: I will be installing drawers under my bed. That way, it will create open space and
I won't have drawer blight!

Great idea .... under the bed ... is space not used .... and not usable in
any other way ! I put boxes with things underneath the bed ... but still
I have to vacuum there ... and a lot of dust gathers there. But I have
once had drawers underneath the bed ... it was great !!

Always did wanna sleep on a tatami..... Better than sleeping in a bed. Bed is hot, with all that matress..... :XD: And the room is simple, not that much appliances. Not like where I live, my mom has all these things in our house. So CROWDED! :sarcasm: Oyasumi nasai..... Zzzzz...... :stereo:

I like a house to be free of clutter. My idea house would have hidden places under the floors and in the walls to store things. Thanks for the fave
