Secret Canyon 4

On September 25, 2011, I visited the Slot Canyons on the Navajo Reservation. Access can only be gained by Humvee over very bumpy dirt roads and through dry river beds along with permission of the Indians. This is in the heart of the Grand Circle, surrounded by Zion, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Bryce, and Mesa Verde National Parks. These are unique sandstone formations. These canyons were created by wind and water. The ebb and flow is captured in stone. These canyons fill with raging water when it rains and it would be fatally dangerous to be here when there is any hint of rain.
