View from the Top of Half-Dome UPDATED PHOTO

This is one of the views from the top of Half-Dome in Yosemite. On Saturday, June 20, 2009, Kathy, Robin, Julie and I went to Yosemite to hike and climb to the top of Half-Dome (right side of the photo). It's a 17 mile round trip and a 4,000 foot elevation gain. We started at 5:00 AM and returned at 5:00 PM.

[link] This is a photo of Robin, Kathy, Julie and Andy (me) on the ledge. I'm wearing the blue shirt and black short-shorts.

It's a straight drop down - actually, 4,000 feet straight down. Yet, people sat on the very edge.

In Switzerland, I went to a mountaintop and ran off using a paraglider. That first step REALLY IS a doozie

Wonderful view !! ..... But you are also high up !!

There is something about mountains ... and being high up .... that I really like !
