"Zen Blossoms" or "Sakura"

I was very fortunate on the day I visited the gardens, Tuesday, February 25, 2008. During my entire walk, which took an hour, not another human being crossed my path nor interfered with any of my photos. These blossoms were remarkably free of bees.

Fugacious and delicate beauty...

I'm reading this amazing book by Will Ferguson entitled "Hokkaido Highway Blues: Hitchhiking Japan".
Although quite hilarious it also gives lots of info and insights on Japan, its culture and people.

I believe you'd enjoy it. :)

Since I am going to Japan in September, I wrote the name of this book and will look for it after I finish the novel I am currently reading.
This is very appreciated. The good things to see are always hidden. Thank you for the fave.

I'm planning on taking quality photos, but not as many as I have done on other trips. However, I want to make sure the photos I take are good. That is why i am practicing all this month with my new camera.

Wow! What a beautiful clear photo of these sakura (that is "Cherry Blossom" in Japanese). I see you've taken a lot of beautiful photographs of a Japanese garden. Where in CA is this?

I appreciate learning that word, "sakura." It's very pretty.

This series of photos were taken at the Tillman water processing center in Van Nuys. It's on Woodley Avenue.
