A nice trip around ... lots of places! The juxtaposition of modern and traditional in the Japanese photos brings back some fond memories. Thanks.

They enter the house and open a trap door which leads to a series of underground caverns.  They live in the caverns under the house.  They surface to get their fan mail.  andyserrano.deviantart.com/art…

The leaves were turning into vivid browns, reds, and orange colors. Nature was getting ready to rest.  I'm very pleased you like it. andyserrano.deviantart.com/art…

It makes me very happy when people let me know they like my photos and that they make a difference to them.

:iconrudeboyskunkplz::iconrudeboyskunkplz2::iconrudeboyskunkplz3: on Little Tokyo Fan Girls. These girls holding the fans are dressed in Harajuku style. Harajuku means (原宿 "meadow lodging.") It is the common name for the area around Harajuku Station on the Yamanote Line in the Shibuya ward of Tokyo, Japan. Every Sunday, young people dressed in a variety of styles including gothic lolita, visual kei, and decora, as well as cosplayers spend the day in Harajuku socializing. The fashion styles of these youths rarely conform to one particular style and are usually a mesh of many. Most young people gather on Jingu Bridge, which is a pedestrian bridge that connects Harajuku to the neighboring Meiji Shrine area. [link]

:iconthxfav1::iconthxfav2::iconthxfav3::iconthxfav4: on Happy Three. The Cherry Blossom Festival, AKA Sakura Matsuri, is a spring festival which celebrates the natural beauty of cherry trees, along with Japanese food, culture, and history. These three Japanese women were stone faced when I came across them. I wanted to photograph them with their serious faces. However, once I lifted my camera, they began laughing and smiling. I took the photo anyhow. This turned out to be more fun than my original intention. [link]
