For my trip to Japan, I ordered a business card so that I can hand it to people when I ask them permission to take their photos. It is illegal now, in Japan, to take photos of people without their permission. The paper stock of this card is very very thick.

In a few weeks, I will be traveling to Japan and will bring new photographs of the most interesting and beautiful places I can find.

Dream

Monday morning March 16, I had a very colorful and vivid dream at 6AM. (Mind you, that I had check the stock futures before I went to bed and they were minus 130.) In my 6AM dream, I saw exactly what you see in this image. This image is exactly what was on the stock ticker on my computer this morning at opening.
I pay serious attention to my dreams. The first time something like this happened, I was in college and was stuck on solving a computer programming code problem. When I went to bed and had a dream, I saw six lines of code, which I instantly recognized as the solution. I got up, wrote it down and when I went to program the computer at the college, it worked. This kind of dream is not all that unusual for me.

Salsa Party

Barbara and I spent Friday evening at a Salsa Dancing party. We did so much, she got dizzy towards the end. It was in Monterey Park and was a combination of all the Salsa classes our instructor has.

Falling down
Liliana Medina had a substitute for her Wednesday morning Zumba class. Maria led the class and she stepped off the stage and went down onto the dance floor with the rest of the class just like Liliana often does. During one of those routines, Maria and I did a tandem dance together and in the middle of it, I bashed into classmate Luz and we both fell to the floor on our butts, laughing all the way down, and back up.

My new Capezio dance shoes just arrived. They feel beyond great!

Sophie and I did two Salsa dances together in Zumba class Saturday morning.

Horse Races

Our winning horse. We took this at the winner’s circle. The horse owner let us sit in his box seats at the race track. We all placed bets on his horse which then won. We went down to the winner's circle and got photographed with the jockey and the horse. The owner placed a bet on his own horse and won $90,000. In the photo below, Barbara is picking up her winnings.

Permanent Front Row Center Seats at Symphony

Saturday March 7th, Barbara and I went to the Long Beach Symphony. We have permanent front row center seats. From there, we can see every keystroke the pianist makes. Tonight, we heard Bernstein, Gershwin, and Copland.

At the symphony, they give a chocolate bar to people when they buy season tickets. I went to the counter and asked for a chocolate bar. The lady said, ''That's only for people who buy tickets for the first time.'' I said, ''I've done this before and they've always given me a chocolate bar.'' The two counter people looked at each other and rolled their eyes and snickered. With a huff, they gave me a chocolate bar. I thanked them and walked to the manager.

I told the manager about their attitude and reminded him that I am a donor. I said that they should be mindful that they never know WHO they are talking to
